The Roeland Park Community Center is operated by Johnson County Human Services and Aging. An Outreach office is also located at the center to provide important human services to area residents.

Notary Services
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by appointment

Public Computer
The Roeland Park Community Center has a PC available for public use from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The computer is equipped with the XP Pro operating system, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Word. Although the service is free, there is a small fee for printing. Sign in at the office and bring identification.

First Thursday of each month by appointment

Blood Pressure Clinic
First Tuesday of each month, 10:00 a.m. to noon

AARP Tax Assistance
February through April 15
Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Nurse Chat
Third Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (no appointment needed)

Food Pantry

Emergency food assistance is available to residents living in northeast Johnson County. Appointments may be made 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The pantry is located inside the community center and may be contacted by calling (913) 826-3130. Donations are welcome. Please call to arrange a time to deliver donations.

Summer Food Program

Families with children in northeast Johnson County elementary schools may receive help with groceries during the summer. Call for additional information regarding distribution dates and a list of eligible schools.

School Supply Program

Families with children in northeast Johnson County elementary schools may be eligible to receive school supplies. The deadline for applications for Fall 2008 is June 30. Call for information about applying.

Utility Assistance Program

The Johnson County Utility Assistance program provides financial assistance to Johnson County households struggling to pay their electricity, natural gas, water, propane, heating wood, or sewage bills.  Details
