Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways to help needy individuals and families living in the Blue Valley School District. Here are just some of the ways you can help.
- Raise and donate money to the Blue Valley Community Fund.
- Organize a food drive.
- Purchase and donate grocery and gasoline gift certificates.
- Donate new and used clothing.
- Help sort and organize in the food pantry or clothing closet.
- Donate backpacks and school supplies.
- Provide items for a Thanksgiving basket.
- Sponsor a family for Christmas.
- Help in the office by answering the phone and greeting visitors.
- Provide gift bags for children.
- Organize a drive for personal hygiene items.
- Help your church or organization arrange a monthly food drive.
- Donate small household items.
- Donate toys to the birthday shop.
- Provide baby items and diapers.
- Help with fund raising.
- Donate specialized services to low-income clients.
Example: Provide car care and repair, Assist with hair styling, Provide dry cleaning.

Location
The center is located on the campus of the Blue Valley School District, at 151st and Metcalf.
From 151st Street:
- Turn North on Marty (1 block west of Metcalf).
- Follow Marty around and take the third right.
- Turn left into the parking lot in front of the Receiving and Distribution Center (we are NOT located in the Receiving and Distribution Center).
- At the back of the parking lot is a sign that says “Johnson County Human Services and Aging – Blue Valley Multi-Service Center." It is just to the left of the Receiving and Distribution Center.
- If you are coming to drop something off or pick something up, you may park in the Loading Zone that is reserved for the Blue Valley Multi-Service Center.
- Follow the sidewalk around to the northeast corner of the MSC (one story brown brick building with red doors).
- The first set of double red doors has a sign that says “BlueValley Multi-Service Center." Ring the doorbell located on the right side of the doors.
Monday through Thursday - 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
