The Best Times is published by Johnson County Human Services and Aging. Editorial direction and circulation are under the sponsorship of Aging Information & Action of Johnson County, a 501 c3 non-profit organization.
Who are the staff writers?
The editor of The Best Times is Lynn Anderson. Many articles are written by free-lance professionals and readers. Other articles are provided by the Area Agency on Aging, aging information specialists, and other Human Services and Aging employees.
What are the article submission guidelines?
The Best Times has a limited budget for purchasing articles, so does not actively seek free-lance articles. If you would like to submit an article for consideration, call Lynn Anderson, (913) 715-8911, or e-mail lynn.anderson@jocogov.org. You may also mail your manuscript to Lynn in care of The Best Times, 11811 S. Sunset Drive, Suite 1300, Olathe, KS 66061-7056.
It is preferred that articles be 500 or fewer words and that they be sumitted as e-mail attachments in Word. DIgital photos are preferred, but photos can be scanned from film.
